Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild

Owned by the Rothschild family since 1853. In 1924, by changing the conventional practice and performing all the processes from bottling to storage in the chateau, it was possible for the chateau owner to completely control the quality of the wine. In 1973, it was promoted from 2nd class to 1st class, the only one in the history of the Medoc rating. In terms of label art, it is well known that a famous painter decorates the bottle for each vintage. In 2014, Baronne Philippine Rothschild, who helped expand the Château, passed away, but her three sons and daughters carry on her legacy.

ムートンファミリーの中で最もフェノールの⼒強さを感じた（実際 TPI も⾼い）。きめの細かいタンニンがしっかりと詰まっていて、それがアルコールの強さとバランスをとっている。溢れる果実⾵味は柔らかく、しかしストラクチャーはむしろ硬い。すでに楽しめそうなほど魅⼒的でありつつも、その⻑期熟成ポテンシャルは疑う余地もない。素晴らしい。
