Château Lausan-Segura has a long history, dating back to 1661 when Pierre de Lausan, for whom the Château was named, acquired the domaine during the reign of Louis XIV. It is also an anecdote that Thomas Jefferson loved this wine, gaining fame as the top wine of Bordeaux by the Lausan family. In 1994, it passed into the hands of Chanel, and now it produces wine with dignity as the second grade Medoc rating.
