Chateau Les Calmes Haut Brion

In 1584, Jean de Pontac, the head of Haut-Brion, donated the vineyards and mills that are part of Haut-Brion to the Carmel Abbey. After that, it was owned by the Carmel Monastery for two centuries, and after the French Revolution it was bought by Negociants of Bordeaux and taken over by the current owner company Pichet Group. Originally part of Chateau Haut-Brion, it owns high-quality fields, and Robert Parker once said that it has a complexity comparable to Haut-Brion.
