chateau carbonne red

This chateau was built during the difficult times of the Hundred Years War. Phylloxera damage in the late 19th century, followed by the Great Depression of 1929, and two world wars. After repeated difficulties, by the late 1940s it was no longer of top quality. It can be said that the modern history of Carbonneux began when Marc Perrin bought this chateau in 1956. It is now owned by the Perrin family for three generations.
